Join Newport News Public Schools and community partners for an afternoon of food, fun, engaging activities and entertainment at Family Forums and Resource Fairs. Three separate events are being hosted over the course of the next few months. The first is this Saturday, March 24, from noon until 2 p.m. at the Greater Hampton Roads Boys & Girls Club, 629 Hampton Ave. The other events are Saturday, April 21, noon - 2 p.m. at South Morrison Family Education Center 746 Adams Dr., and Saturday, May 19, noon - 2 p.m. at Peninsula Boys & Girls Club, 429 Thorncliff Dr. 

The events are free and open to the public. Spanish interpreters are also available. During the forums families can:

• Learn about after-school and summer programs, the college application process, career-readiness and more. 
• Meet the Acting Superintendent and share your thoughts about NNPS
• Enjoy lunch while being entertained by students and
• Receive free groceries, clothing and school supplies while they last.
